really good cams would be nice like jun or spoon
its even kinda hard to find valve springs and retainers..

You can send your valve cover out to a place to have it powdercoated or painted or whatever...but it isn't JUN or Mugen...You can find rods but they have to be Crower - EXPENSIVE...You can have your head sent to Portflow and they can do a full valvetrain but again - EXPENSIVE. Just finding parts here and there at GB prices is very very hard for h23a. But hey, Boosted, you are doing pretty good with those numbers. What size turbo?

yeah, but then aren't you just opening up another can of reliability issues? And in my personal application, it would mean scrapping the manifold I already ordered.
How many people have gone h23 hybrid turbo? I've tried searching that before and couldn't find anyone. i don't think satan ever turboed his hybrid. can't remember now. too long ago. but any thoughts on h22/h23 turbo?

isn't there a stroker kit for the h23, that increases it to 2.5?
just get the engine don't do the head swap...I agree with the reliability issues.

and..have you considered a Gude head package? That will be my first stop if i hit the lotto. Although, a Mügen valve cover would strike my fancy just fine

The gude head package is what i've been considering. there is also a local place that i may try. i just need to find an h23 head to work with. I already have the block. I don't want to deal with any down-time

hell no im not getting a gude head.. u know how much they mill that bitch.. my friend had his that was 70 thousandths over.. put it on and it was detinating like a bitch. ill just get DPR head work with a benchflow if thats the case
Frisbee here in town just dyno'd his fully built (block and headwork too) H23 and made 332 whp. This is on the same dyno I made 261.5 on for comparison, so H23's can do pretty well.....

he just mad cause he hit a dogg and he is trying to vent on the h23... ahah dont be mad when i have more torque sam.. its all gravy
H22s and H23s are pretty much the same (block wise)...So any internal part for the H22 will work with an H23
