My ITR died after MUGEN header and SPoon Plug install
As stated above, I threw on my Mugen 4-1's Comptech exhaust and Spoon plug wires on this evening. I took it around the block and it died at 3-4k rpms.....Anybody have any suggestions? As anyone had this happen before? I heard it might be because of a lack of back pressure......?
Did you get a check engine light? Maybe your wires are put in wrong order, or they came off.
Put your stock wires back on, see if it works.. Did you plug the 02 back in?

your I/H/E setups will not kill your car. (unless you had a critter in the header that crawled into the comubstion chamer and got squashed in there... err, random thought!
)
You're just not getting the combustion cycle correctly. Your wires or ignition system went kaput.

Ok let me rephrase whats going on..........
It now drives fine..... sounds fine......
Start it up....idle is normal
accelerate 1st to 2nd its fine
accelerate 2nd to 3rd its fine
the problem is when I come to a stop, and stick in the clutch, the rpms drop way down and it dies.........

did you check to see if all your vacuum lines are connected under the hood? what all did you touch when you changed out the header & the plugs?
You sure that you put the O2 back into the header and cat correctly? Make sure that all the plugs are fastened securely and in the correct order.
Retrace everything that you did, you know that your car was fine before you did anything. Back-track and you should be able to troubleshoot the problem.

Sounds like you may just need to reset your ECU. Some cars right after I/H/E mods have idling problems but after an ECU reset they are fine.

from what i know, ecu re-adjust the maps when you start the car, i'm not sure how many times you need to re-start the car to get it to catch up with new setup. maybe 10-20 times?
you could try that, but, an easy/cheap way to narrow down the cause would be replacing your wires with old wires and see if your car still shuts off.
lack of back pressure......?
