I have a B20Z that i'm building, its from a 2000 CRV and it is supposed to have more compression then the B20B... but till its done i wont really know. I'm building to to Honda Challenge spec... so it wont be a straight line monster, it will be a road racer motor... but i'm cool with that. i know alot of the straight line guys are running the good old H22... the guy building my motor drags his H22 in all motor. i doubt i helped much... but i figured i would throw out my 2 pennies.

im building up my sohc zc, its in essence a d16a6 if you didn't know, and i won't be expecting more than 200 crank hp. Im going to go into some small time rallycross events then move on to some small time rallies. Ohh this is also in a civic wagon 4wd. Granted its heavy for a honda (2505lbs w/ all options) it will still be very good for rallycross. I am in the process of planning out a b20/vtec. That'll be N/A as well, i'll have a 4wd tranny mounted to that also. I believe i'll end up getting an oldschool ls block and boring it out then stroking it and raising the compression to something aroun 12.5:1. Probably lots of mid range on that since it'll also be for rally.

My CRX has a SOHC ZC, and with DC Sport Headers and a Short Ram Intake, I run mid 14's, That is fast enough for me.

Is an LS/VTEC a good set up to run? but I heard it blows easily. We dont have many shops up here that can blue print it (do it the right way) what do you guys think about the set up.??

I have lsvtec set up with basically us type R internals miled head port xcept for ctr cams. Very conservative daily driver set up, 11.2 compression and does not ping on 91 octane...only problem I've had so far is when my fan switch broke, motor overheated and caused cyl. head and block to warp...got the head milled ($40) today but I have a race on Sunday (autocross) so we're putting it together tomorrow and I'm going to run it with the block as is. (currently first in my class so cant afford any downtime) Then get it all dismantled next week and send all to the machine shop to be milled...here are my dyno numbers.
