Has anyone had a problem with their RSX type S, as far as noises when taking off? My car is lowered and I've got 18" wheels on it. When I take off and cause a lot of torque, there is a creaking noise which sounds like it is almost coming from my stock sway bar under the hood. It didnt do this until I lowered my car. Anyone have any ideas? I don't think that it could be tweaking the frame of the car, but who knows bc i have no idea at this point.

 

I had a probem like that but it was only when I turned, and I thought I did something wrong so I redid everything and it was still there so I replaced the springs, and it stayed quiet.

 

i think it has something to do with the control arm hitting something, how low are you?

18s and torque?

 

im pretty low..... maybe 2.5" or so? not sure.... my coilovers are down pretty far.... Is it going to hurt anything if the control arm is hitting anything? I took off my wheel today, and i think it might be the control arm hitting the heat sheild for my injen sri.... or maybe the filter hitting the heatshield, cuz its pretty close too. any suggestions?

 

oh you got an injen heat shiel? Yep that's it I used to have that problem when I had the injen sri
