Default PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i guess none of you know but i blew my engine up monday so now i am out of a car!!! i know you are all thinking " hey chance for an engine swap" but this chick doesn't have that cash yet. Ok so i thought about buying a 88 crx si but i heard that the wiring is different on them than the 91. i have a 91 so this was bad news. i was wondering if anyone knew of this being true and if it is, then why? and can i put it in my car with no trouble?

I'm not 100% positive, but i don't think there is anything different between the 2. If there are any differences, it will probably be with the sensors on the intake manifold. In that case, you can just use yours. BTW, they are both SIs, right?

Its doable, but not a direct swap. You will need to get the engine wiring harness (basically everything from shock tower to tower), and the injector box (that aluminum box near the hood prop). You can use your existing wiring harness, but you will still need the injector box, and you will have to hack into it to add the extra wires for the fuel injectors.
If you want to take it the easy route, you can just use your existing intake manifold on the new engine. You will lose performance this way, so if you can get the parts with the new engine, go that way.

there is no SOHC vtec ZC motor. there is no vtec ZC motor period. and the zc never came in US cars. the DOHC zc was in the JDM si's and Europena si's. the SOHC zc came in some JDM integra's. if you did find one of these motors, I wouldn't even bother with it, its pretty muchjust a d16a6 (si motor).
