Who here hasn't modded their R's
How many people on this board have a completly stock ITR? If this topic relates to you how do like driving around bare bone, and last what would be your first mod if any at all?
We all no that a Black ITR's is a myth LOL. But I think that someone out there hasn't had money burning a hole in their pockets or the itch to mod and has left their cars alone.
I was racing my ITR in stock class for the past three years, until I switched to a 330Ci.
First "mod" (legal in stock class) should be tires.

Does it count, if it's a "born-again-stock"? LOL.
I love it "born-again-stock". Sure, it's not as fast as before, but I'm more than happy with. It definitely helps you out, if you have a beater. Then, you truly understand capable nice a stock one is.

I have heard legends of this so called "stock ITR" but have never seen one. I think the "stock" and "Black" ITR's are both myths...
My friend Jones' (jmb) 98R is completely stock and has 80+K miles on it. He only changed out the normal wear items like tires and brake pads.
Mine is still bone stock, 7000 miles
even the washer fluid and the wiper blades are still stock since it hasn't seen rain yet. I dont plan on modifying it since all my money now goes to the house and my audi S4.

I bought my R last October and mods were: K&N Filter, removed resonater, and an aem pulley. I haven't begun modding since the car was garaged all winter and $. Just bought S03's and upgrading the alarm next week as well as some other security mods. These come first. I plan on doing the standard intake /exhaust next. Probably Icebox, JDM header an some sort of exhaust. I'm keeping all stock parts.
My cars runs strong now and certainly a joy to drive. My goal is just maximize the car with out getting to radical. I didn't buy the car to make it a speed demon although 185 hp or so would be nice.
