I would use a stock comp with around 8 psi. Better for daily driving, but am sure every one you ask has a different opinon.

Low compw/high boost
if i'm not mistaken, high compression motors leave a little margin for error so it's recommended to lower the compression, reinforce the internals, and make sure it's tuned well...

higher compression will make it better before the turbo is spooled. remember f23s are 9:8:1 compression and have no problem with 10lbs of boost. you can't boost that much anyways onstock internals to make having low compression really worth it. if you have a person who can tune the car than having 10:0:1 compression like an h22 shouldn't even matter. it's all in the hands of the person tuning the car.

I'd rather have a middle of the road in this instance. Instead of 10:1 w/5psi or 8:1 w/15psi, I'd go with a more optimized setup. I don't want so low of a compression that the turbo does not want to spool and the engine is weak off of boost. I don't want so high of a compression that one warm day and the motor is done. Maybe a 9.5:1 w/10psi would be the better comprimise. Sure it's not the best in every category, but you can still get the benefits of both sides.

I'll go with brandon, but it breaks down this way:

RACE ONLY ENGINE: HIGH COMPRESSION + or - 11:1
STREET ONLY ENGINE: LOW COMPRESSION + or - 8.5:1

High Compression: lil amount of error or engine could be blown
Low Compression: High amount of error before engine blows

so as brandon said, a 9.5:1 or 9.0:1 would be a good compromise.

Also a high compression turbo engine would create lot's of heat, so if you are going to do something like this, make sure you have the means to dissipate the heat and maintain the engine at his operating temp.

There is a table that stated the compression ratio of an engine and the boost you need to acomplish the same boost, meaning it tells you what static compression it would create, pretty good, but i can't find it!

The higher compression will always make more power.

If you can afford it, go high compression, high boost.

I chose low compression on my build since I want a little more comfort factor for street driving in all conditions and weather.

well this is what i have. I currently have 3 f22b1 motors. I have a build one with JE Pistons (8.5:1) Crower rod, etc.... Well the problem is that I was at a drag strip running my car to tune it alittle and ...... well.... my #4 piston hit #4 sparkplug.. due to the fact that the machine shop mill my head toooo much.... so i have a crack piston now. And my share motor that is in the car right now on 10psi....... is blowing smoke out of my tail pipes....(rings, or valve seals).. So im getting my built motor ready to be put in my car. That well im asking for your opinons. thanks

don't bother looking for it too much, it can't possibly be accurate without using DYNAMIC compression ratios. the grind of the cam will have too much influence on it unless it is a 0 overlap cam(unlikely)

what are you using for fuel management..? maybe you shouldn't aim for 10 psi just yet...
