My car was a semi east coast car so it was nice and rusty and salty. The wheels that came with it werent in the greatest shape and i decided to do something different today and paint them. If anyones interested in doing somewhat the same thing i used duplicolor primer, graphite wheel paint, and clear coat for wheels too.

they look alright here, but you cant really tell that they are fairly jacked up.

went to get some gas and snap a few pics. i know its dirty but i live in new mexico where the dust blows plentifully. i like how they look.

i think you should've painted them a lighter gun-metal and you need more of a gloss to it...

there wasnt too great of a selection of dupli-color at autozone: steel,graphite,white,and i think one other. i love the change over the crusty wheels.

it's all good, did you striped the paint and clearcoat it?

 

i like the wheels but they need something..
lighter or more shine or something.

 

they are shinier than they look in the pics. when i went out to my car this morning they looked nice and shiney.

 

they are clearcoated. 2 coats of the duplicolor clearcoat for wheels. im assuming you meant strip the paint, but there wasnt any on there before.

Looks alright now, but when the paint starts to chip of in a week it will look REALLY GHETTO! Your just going to have to keep up with it.

Did u sand em first? Also why do you need primer?
