This is how I mounted mine. Not really the greatest pic, but you kinda get the idea? I just used some zip ties to hold it there. Looks better than on the bumper IMO.

i jus took of my front plate and put in those caps u can pick up at ur dealership that covers up teh holes in ur front bumper. I live in so cal too and the ticket is a fix-it ticket for only like 10-15 bucks if i get pulled for that. and i am willin to pay that to have my car look a 100 times better. Oh, and another thing that u may want to remember is that if you need to get tickets signed off, go to the CHP office, cuz they don't charge to sign off tickets, but alot of local sheriffs n some police stations do.

Mines in the window, driver side dash. The one time a cop ever talked to me about it he said himself that tickets for no front license plates are bs.

Depends on the cop though, but since my car is pretty much stock I don't expect to get harassed too much.

You can get that little V shape piece off any integ. They sell it at Acura dealers for a few bucks. I did that to my plates and it don't look that bad, rather then being all up on the bumper. It sits in the middle of the center grill.

Only car I don't have my front plate on is the 240sx...thats because I just got the JDM front end on and the bolt holes don't line up with US plates...so I'll have to use some self tapping screws or something...

I have the same problem... 4th gen ludes have the absolute worst mounting for the plate. It makes the car look too pointy.
I just ripped off the mounting thingy and zip tied it a bit lower, it looks better but not great.

well.. if you actually had under the hood mods you would be more worried about being pulled over for something as stupid as a liscence plate so they can pop your hood, and believe me, they do.

Don't do this. Please. My friend told me a story about how her friend did that and an accident caused the plate to go flying back off of the dash and landed in his gf's throat. She died. Do wat u gotta do, but don't put the plate on the dash.

damn...sounds like some horror movie ****. I had my front plate off for about a month with no problems, but yeah my car is pretty much stock as well. If the rules are so tight in so-cal..i would suggest just going the zip tie route...the placement with those is limitless.

I hate my front plate but cops are dicks around here and issue $50 tickets for not having them like none other. Ive already gotten out of 2 so I just put it on to avoid further hassle.

Ahh one of the only joys of living in Alaska..........you can do whatever you want to your car........the only thing they are some what strict on is tint. Loud exhausts, liscense plate frames on front.......**** like that doesn't matter. Do what you gotta do though......i'd just put it on the front like it is.......if you don't like it then risk getting pulled over.......ticket or show?

I usually don't have my front plate on, but I have been thinking about mounting it off center. Anyone have any tips on an easy way to do this?

Relax man, I heard that story before too... thats why I got these suction cups that keep the plate in place, it cost less than two bucks at Kragen. My plate won't fly anywhere. Thanks for lookin' out though.
