I was wondering if anybody has done this before? I'm looking for information regarding wiring. I am in the process of dropping this motor in for somebody and I noticed that the stock Accord tranny is a 4 solenoid automatic, where the Prelude tranny is only a 2 solenoid auto.

My questions are these:

1. Do I use the H22A wiring harness and just plug in the JDM ECU? And if so, what CEL lights, if any, will arise??

2. Are there going to be additional wires that I am going to have to run or extend in order to shut off any CEL lights?

just use the jdm ecu and it will work fine i am sure

I found out today that the wrong tranny was sent with the engine, which takes away the huge worries I was having...turns out they sent an auto 2nd gen Teg B16 tranny...

So now my questions are these...using the H22A tranny, do I use both pass. and drive side Accord axles? and, with the JDM H22A, it has an internal coil...the stock 93 Accord has an external...with the stock Accord harness plugged in...what do I need to do to make the JDM H22A distributor work properly? Somebody told me nothing, the ecu will make up for wires that are not being used? Please help. Thanks again in advance. Pat.

you can run the accord ex auto tranny ECU with the h22 auto tranny. but you'll redline sooner. Also i noticed its a little better on the freeway...

 

Ok, even though the stock Accord axle on the drive side runs from tranny to hub? Isn't that gonna create hella torque steer??

And we're thinking that we may be needing to pick up a H22A distributor from a 97-01 Prelude with the stock external coil....is that assumption correct??? Thank you, Pat.
