Do you have any engine codes?

Check the ECU for a flashing light then get back to us with the code it is giving you.

My B16 does that, and my friends B16 in his hatch does it. I guess its just something to get used to. I did a valve adjustment and a lot of it seemed to go away. Don't get too bent out of shape about it, a lot of people replace the distributor, plugs, plug wires, and reset thier timing only to have the same problem.

Try some new plug wires. I had a real BAD sputter when I did my swap.

your distributor sounds like its fucked, you need to swap it out with another to test it, that or your plug wires are in the wrong order.

You might want to make sure you VTEC wire is in the right pin on the ECU if it is crossed with something else on the ECU that has an output the car will do that. Also change your plugs and make sure your MAP Sensor is on the right vaccuum cause that will make a big difference. Say if you are looking into the throttle body and you see the flap, you have that large vaccuum hose then to the right of it you have that small vaccum line, make sure the MAP Sensor is hooked up to that small vaccuum line. Good luck. peaCe

Do a valve adjustment first, then check your timing, then replace plugs and plug wires. Always do the cheapest possible solution first, unless you're made of green.

Sounds like a distributor prob.......

Also, make sure you're not throwing TPS or MAP sensor code....... cuz that'll do it as well.

its also to late for this, but when i got my motor, there was lots of water in the plug i guess from sitting out, i pulled the plugs and let it drain a while, rotated the crank a few times as well...

anyhow, new plugs, new wires, and maybe a new distributor, (my distributor caused this problem, i replaced it and it worked fine.

cap, rotor, plugs, wires.. if that doesn't help.. switch the o2 sensors around... switch pins C8 and C16

It works.. I used to have sputtering that would only go away at wot.. i switched them and it was like night and day.. runs perfect now.

I just reversed my O2 sensors today, and my sputtering problem is gone. I was amazed at how much better the car felt.

yeah, everybody seems to have this problem, I thought it was a bad dizzy too, but it's not, even hasport has it wrong, cause i wired it up just like the subharness told me too, but you definatly need to switch c8 and c16. or i guess you could just switch where the o2's are plugged in. like actually take the o2's out and switch positions.
