You've got a Prelude, so you are already more than decent. Lowering the car will definitely improve both looks and handling if done right. As for scraping, since you don't have a kit, it won't be too much of a problem, since you likely can't see the scrapes except from underneath.

Practice parking though, because you really don't want to hit a parking block or curb after lowering.

I would drop it if I were you, but you can't really do it the right way for only $200, so you might want to wait until you have more money. I have KYB AGX shocks and Eibach Pro Kit and it was $500. It lowered it 1.2" in the front and 1" in the rear and I never scrape unless it's on a very steep driveway or hill.

Nice rally edition prelude ...lol..thats what my friends called mine before i dropped mine...drop it, i have a fairly steep driveway and i never scrape

Have you ever known any type of gap to be good?? Gap in a chick's teeth...no good! Gap in...any part of her body...well, if it's done in moderation, but more or less, there are no gaps that are good!!! hahahaha

well i partialy droped my car...like 1/4 drop from kyb struts..i feel the diffrence in the handling..i say save up for the struts (not shocks!!!) and see if you like the ride and height...i drive around the city and i did and still do bottom out if i don't pay attention
