I want to get a B-series header and i was quoted 120 for an OBX one, you guys think i should get that or a dc for 250 or a used aftermarket, i am looking to spend 150 or less for a used header in good condition shipped to AZ, if anyone has one. Later.

 

IF you get one used, make sure its not dented on the bottom, I was @$#%!~ over on that once already ....anyway, classifieds is a gread place to look

 

also consider clearance of the crossmember and b18 header will hang lower than b16 header.

 

if you choose to get a DC 4-1, this is how low it will be. so if your car is lowered alot it will not last long on the streets.

Julian has it he likes it, nothing wrong and looks bad ***!! I say go for it...it would be better than the stock one u have.... 140 is not bad either....I got quoteed 155 out teh door fo rmy d series header from versus.....good thing I picked up teh Comptech for 150...hehe

I bought a 98 GSR 4-1 AR-1 header from Ebay and it is ok. 4-1 you have to smash the crossmember. The4-1 sites so lower the first time I pulled out of my drive way I smashed it.

my dc 4-1 on my b16 ef gets killed everyday on the streets. It is just a notch lower than the one of the pic above. After a week I had dents on them already. O well.

 

Yea, i go up there once in a while. I am with the car club topnotch, we go up there sometimes, i haven't been with them up there since i'm a pretty new memeber. What do you drive????

 

I got a DC one for 150 shipped SS and its a 4-2-1. There was one dent on the left runner but thats not to bad. Make sure you buy the SS one, it will last alot longer.

currently 98 wrangler sahara. my b16 crx will be here in about 3 weeks. im excited. i'll be at the pavilions tonight with some friends. u might notice some young guys we have 2 green ls' 1 silver ls/turbo 1 red ls 1 red gsr. might be some more friends there tonight but u will knotice the 2001 silver ls turbo. u might also notice none have spoilers. just in case u come out. come say hi

I know you want to buy a header for 120-150 but if you save just another 100 you could have a JDM 4-1 header. It has a 2.5 IN inlet insteed of 2 IN. and the gains will be well worth the extra 100 dollars.

But I can also understand about not having that much money.

i have a 97 spec jdm itr header 4-2-1 with 2 1/2 inch collector, its nice and big and the clearance is great, i paid 70 bucks for mine i reccomend it.

 

Better be an aftermarket peice because ITR never had a 4-2-1 as an OEM peice.

 

uh yes there was. ctr and 97 spec itr uses 4-2-1 oem header

 

anyone selling a 4-2-1 header for less than 150 shipped with no dents, preferrably a dc ss or ceramic coated.

 

there are a few people selling the ctr/97 spec itr header (4-2-1 w/ 2.5 collector) for around $100-150.
