Default Crank pulley tool for EF's??? Would the 92-95 tool fit?

I've been looking for a crank pulley tool, and asked the snap on truck guy at work, and the models didn't include 88-91, closest was 92-95. I've also looked at a few tools online and found the same. Is there no crank pulley tool for 88-91's...or would the 92-95 tool fit? thanks, -sean

Most or all of the 4th gen pulleys I've seen do not have the provision that the 92-up civics do. As far as I know, it will not work.

[QUOTE=Outsane]its a trade secret..but..
Take the bracket that mounts from the bottom of the ex. manifold to the bottom of the block, and a 14mm short bolt...
Mount the bracket on the tranny end where the only 14mm bot hole is so teh bracket ends up between the teeth of the fly wheel and have at it... make sure some one holds onto the block while you crank away at it.. I use a 17mm, deep with 1/2inch breaker bar, with my jack pole as a cheater bar...

thanks to outsane, it's a L shaped bracket where the header meets the dp

The moroso tool and others with the hex shape do not work on the EF. Your best bet is an Impact Wrench. I bought a Moroso tool and it didn't work. I returned it and it was like a $70 tool. I went out and bought and impact wrench for $200 and it was good money spent. Why waste that much on a tool only good for one thing.

yeah hex style cranky pulley remover for honda's won't work on 88-91's but what i'm saying is this will work, especially when a 600ft lb mac tools gun won't
