free APC gauges to anyone who can give me a definite answer....
well i've been trying to work this whole clutch issue out for the past few weeks now and its really getting on my nerves. setup: zc engine, and tranny. background: ordered clutch for 89 CRX si, ended up being too small for flywheel and i couldnt bolt it up. now i ordered a clutch kit for a 91 crx, it bolted up just fine to the flywheel, but the tranny wont go on now. there are 21 male grooves on tranny spindle, but only 20 female grooves on the clutch disc. so this is where I'm stuck. what clutch do i order now? any help is much appreciated. thanks in advance.
Clutch Parts 90 Honda CRX I used the CRX transmission and the CRX clutch
ZC Clutch disk use: 89 Honda Civic DX p/n - 22200-PM7-J02
ZC Pressure plate use: 89 Honda Civic DX
thoughs will work
the 89 DX and the 89,90,91 CRX use the same size shaft and same number of splines on the
transmission. The 89 DX clutch disk and pressure plate is smaller in diameter by about one inch than the CRX Si. Although the flywheel is the same diameter on both. As long as you stay with one or the other it should work fine.

sounds like the tranny is an 88. The 88's had 21 splines and the 89-91 had 20. so you would need a clutch for a 88 tranny

You can order an "upgrade" clutch disc from ACT that will allow you to retain the 90-1 flywheel, and utilize your 89 trans. Otherwise you will need to replace your flywheel with the smaller 89 unit. I would get the upgrade clutch.

seems to me he has an '88 tranny, and a '90 flywheel.
