internally stock B18C CRX DYNO charts!
http://www.norcalcrx.org/dyno/fong.gif
sorry been here for nearly 3 yrs and i still dont know how to post pics
this last weekend noahk hosted a norcalcrx dyno meet at Race Prep Eng.
my set up:
-1990 CRX DX w/ jdm B18C AUTO stock usdm OBD1 P72
-stock internals
-Skunk2 IM
-Comptech Header 4-2-1
-custom bent 2.25" hi-flow cat and exhaust
-CM stage 3 clutch and lite fly
-"15 azenis
1st run: (blue) had stock intake and paper filter
2nd run: (red) pulled the intake box-just tube-how i run at the track
3rd run
green) adv timing +3 degrees and no intake box
between second and third run i lost peak HP of about 6hp but i sure gained alot midrange...Noah told me that it was well worth the loss in top end for the mid range gains...wonder if it would help or hurt me on the track...
what do you guys think?
i know its not the best baselines from a b18c but i sure have seen worse...
Ryan<---next mod JRSC!!
p.s. you get the homie of the day award if help me host this

whoa, bitchin' midrange gains with the advanced timing
damn...i wish i coulda gone to that too...wanted to see how much power i'm puttin down...but anyway, i think you may do a little better at the 1/4 track...depending on which tranny you're using...i'm thinking about .2-.4 seconds difference assuming your normal racing conditions (launch, temp, traction, etc)....
use this: http://crx.honda-perf.org/math/index.html to look up where your rpms will drop to when you shift...if you fall within your powerband, you'll (theoretically) improve your times

yea it is at 19 degrees right now...im wondering with the increased power in the mid range i probably going to have even more trouble with traction at the track...i usually have problems keeping the tires planted from 3.5k to 5k which is also where i gained...looks like i need to spend $$ on radius rods and some drag radials...
