98 GSR Swap is from Import Auto Salvage!

I started on the timing belt and could not complete the job. Got stuck (posted in the teg forum) and the weather quickly changed as it started raining. The motor has been sitting outside in front of my Cx since I got it on 2-20. This was the first time I opened it up and I was surprised / pissed.
Damn tarp must of leaked
Luckily no water appears to of gotten under the plug wires. I placed a large trash bag over the valve cover and taped it into place before putting the tarp back on this time. Had to get the vacuum out to get the water
:

I did NOT wipe anything down. This is disassembled and snapping pics:

A little closer:

The oil smells like it's fresh out the container

Clean?

Not a bad close-up for an $80 Polaroid camera huh?

Any advice on cleaning the camshaft pulleys while I have this thing apart? I guess the pulleys are exposed to the outside weather which explains why the underside of the valve cover is clean?!?!?

What do you guys think?
