Default SOHC swap questions

How hard is it to put a Z6 or Y8 head on a D16? What about the wiring? Would i be better off to just get the entire motor since i have over 100,000 on the block? I tried to search and i found some who say its easy and some who say its hard to get it to work right. I just need to clarify it.
Thanks

The heads are easy to swap. If you dont have Vtec, you will have to account for that. IF you want to build a killer D series, get a D-16 Y-8 and drop in a set of D-16 A6 pistons

If your looking for the easy route, just swap to the Y-8 and you'll be done in a weekend
