I'm starting the mpfi swap and I have all the parts, but I don't really know what to do. I've found lots of instructions for the wiring, but not much about taking parts out and putting the new ones in. I don't know much about auto mechanics so I would appreciate it very much if someone could take pictures and show exactly which parts under the hood have to come out, and if the parts they're replaced with bolt in the same way. If you show the whole process in detail, this could be very useful for people that search for info later.

I do have a cold air intake that I'm putting in. I also wanted to know which gaskets you need to replace, and if you need to replace the distributor cap.

 

Replace the intake manifold gasket, tb gasket. Other than that just pull the bracket off the back of the motor that holds the intake manifold on, then pull the 7 12 mm nuts off, and bam you should be good. Mkae sure you disconnect the wiring clips.
