Default 195/50 tire size

I am in the market for some tires seeing how the winter is all but over here. I know you are all in love with the Falken Azenis, but I was looking at the new Goodyear F1 D3 that only comes in a 195/50 15 (a price difference of only $4).

Any donwside to running the smaller than stock sidewall other than the speedo being off (who cares I never look at it anyways).

EDIT TO ADD TIRE SPECS:

195/55 15 RE010 (Load) 1102 (diameter) 23.5" (from tirerack.com)
195/50 15 F1 D3 1047 22.7" (from tirerack.com)
205/50 15 ES100 1168 23.2 (from tirerack.com)
205/50 15 Azenis 1135 23.1" (from falkentires.com)
205/50 15 A032R 1168 23.2" (from tirerack.com)

Thanks for your comments,
Matt

You gearing will also be slightly affected, and 195/50's usually have a lower load rating than the stock 195/55's, so take that for what it's worth.

FYI - Some people have had difficulty buying certain 195/50's from Tire Rack because of the load rating, and had to say that the tires were going to be used only for off-road/racing purposes.

tirerack isn't as bad anymore, they just make sure you want to do it.

my last call went like this:
TR: "Hey, I know you ordered this size tires before, but I need to make this call anyways. The tires could possibly explode."
Me: "Cool, send em."
TR: (laughs) "ok thanks. They will be sent today."

it was a uhmm 30 second call probably, the first time was about a minute or so. I think they've learned that allowing people to buy them is in their interests in a way..
