99 Accord - use injector cleaner in gas?
I do not think Honda recommends using injector cleaner if I am mistaken. They say as long you keep up your oil changes and use the proper gasoline rating, there is no need. There are additves in the motor oil & gasoline already that have the same effect as those found in all of those rip off injector cleaners. Just do all the maintence on time every time, and you will be fine.
the guy that posted 2 posts above me is right. Gas manufactors already add there own cleaners and adatives to gas , so they claim to keep your fuel lines, fuel injectors, and combustion chamber cleaner, then if they didn't use any adatives to there gas.
example........chevron they use techcron....
i really dont use anymore adatives or cleaners, if i dont have to if you really want to clean your fuel injectors out good, pull them out and clean them by hand, same for fuel lines( replace is better ) and fuel filter.
your car should be fine even if you add more adatives but i think i would be wasting money i would just rather send it on higher octain. thats what i think
