No Nitrous on that motor...I did it on my "learning experience" car and I had all kinds of problems. I ran a 35 shot and it F-ED up my motor. My .02

I ran a 55shot with my d16y7 and had no problems at all. Stock fuel pump also. I run the zex dry kit witch is the easiest kit to install . Great for beginners

go wet...dry system tends to run more lean.

I ran the dry NOS kit on my d16y8. It ran perfect with stock everything I just didn't like how it was only fast for that little bit, so I got a turbo. Nitrous on that motor works great though.

You must not know how to tune to well. This is my "learning experience" with nitrous and I've been having great results for almost a year and no problems.

wet kits add fuel with the nitrous. dry kits only add nitrous. wet kits are much better. if you go lean on spray, motor goes boom. my single cam held a 75 shot for over a year with no problems. although i wouldnt recommend running the 75 unless you can afford to fix it if it blows. 50-60 shot should be fine. just make sure you get a wet kit. and make sur its from a reputable company.

I ran a ZEX 55 dry shot on a stock d16y8(besides CAI, Exhuast, a ZEX plugs). It lasted about 20 bottles. I took the nitrous off, the motor was still running fine. Ran a 14.2 w/ that. It will work fine w/ no problems if your not a moron.
