Default white smoke at first??

a friend of my told me that when i take off the line, big white smoke comes out but disappers after that. is this normal on a high compression car?? he also said that my piston rings might be going or valve seals are gone. so what you guys this it is?? its not smoking all the time, just when i take off the line.

The rings are only 9000 miles old. can it go bad that quick?? and will i be able to change them without having to send the block out to get hone and re-sleeve and **** like that??

sure can, if you are located near the rialto area, i suggest you come to ONe. if not, what you have to do is pull the pistonies out, get new rings, and you don't have to send the block out to get rehoned. by a honing tool that you can put on a drill and hone it out yourself. make sure you lube up the cylinder walls first. just hone until all the ring lines are gone.

I have the same probelm, but its all the time. I think it is the valve seals, because we just replaced the head gasket and there was no scoring on the cylinder walls.
