well as very few of you know haha, I picked up an '88 Mustang notchback with the, well kinda crappy 2.3 w/AOD
For now, a T-5, black/tan interior, Ranger header, Edelbrock duals, and perhaps a functional SVO hood, along with a rich black paint job (prolly the same as my bros '89 which has a slight bit of silver flake in it), updated shocks, GT front/rear sway bars, and perhaps some gears in the rear just to make it a nicer looking, fun daily driver
my question is about the wheels for the car...
Currently on my '87 T-Bird we have the original wheels that came with my bros '89 on there -- they are a somewhat crappy set of alloy 5-stars, unpolished and although they are '80s style, they definitely make the T-Bird and the Mustang look NICER than with theyre ugly *** stock wheels.
here on eBay are the SAME wheels i just mentioned, just with a somewhat crappy black paint job while leaving the lip clean
my question is --- would these wheels look ricey on an '88 notchback????
this is what the car will look like with the exhaust and the black paint (for the most part)
NOTE: if my bro and i DO decide to black out our set of wheels, we would do it flat black, not the glossy black and we wouldnt have the Ford symbol on the center cap
personally I think that on a black notch, flat black 5-stars with blacked out center caps and a polished lip that are literally FREE since we already have the wheels would look fairly kick ***
I just wouldl ike the loving opinion of the H-T boys n gals on this one

Since when did this become Mustang-tech.com?
Isn't this
Isn't this
opinions of people are opinions of people -- I am personally not a big fan of mustang boards unless I need tech questions answered -- they are filled with assclowns who eat sleep drink **** and "bleed" mustangs, which i feel is somewhat pathetic when there are so many other manufacturers and beautiful cars out there....
THATS why buddy....

I think it would look pretty decent... there have been alot of "JDM"
Stangs popping up around here and they all look pretty nice with black wheels. My friend may be painting his pony rims black too. I say

personally, I like the stock Stang wheels that are already on it
But nothing looks better on a Mustang then some chrome 17's IMO

Ahhh...I don't like them
But I would agree with EJ...When I look at honda-tech...I like to see honda's.

I hope you don't badge out the 2.3 as a 5.0. That would be like badging out a sohc hatchback as a TypeR.

no no that is just what my '88 WILL LOOK LIKE IN BLACK
I used that pic to show a black notchback with tints, thats all -- sorry for the confusion
and i DEFINITELY would not put 5.0 badges on a 2.3
if I go SVO (turbo2.3) then I would still keep it debadged of even the Ford badges and just put an SVO badge on the trunk
keep the opinions coming

then tell that to the nissan, subaru, toyota, ford, etc. owners then
Would you rather honda-tech was a chat room? This was a apperance question, but I hate
seeing cars other than hondas in the apperance forum. Especially domestics!
For some reason, I kinda like the stock wheels in the 2nd picture, they look clean on mustangs.
i don't like 'em too much. they look... really... um... ***? they have a "cheap" look to them.
i'd get a set of Pony wheels or Cobra R's. those wheels look great on almost every 'stang.

the wheels look dumpy, since when do you have to own a honda to be here, this is the chillinest board on the web ive never even owned a honda !
