I recently swapped exhausts.. stock on the 94. Apex'I Dunk on the 95. it looks good but it could shine more.. and it has a tiny bit of rustish coloring around the weld. not too bad though. Any ideas on how to polish/clean this up? what do you guys use? Some type of aluminum polish?

they have some metal polishing cloths that work sweet as hell - they are perfect for circular objects - like headers and exhaust tips and cans -

Anyways, I've used this stuff called X-treem metal polish http://www.cecodist.com/02001.htm works great on aluminum and stainless.

I use 3M metal polish on my N1. It works well

Have you considered going there.. maybe to take a look for your self?

They sell all sorts of different polishes..

 

Mother's metal polish is awesome...comes in small white container with red and black label. i use it all the time on my tip and pretty sure it's at most auto places and walmart

 

umm steel wool? use the medium pad, then the fine pad.

 

i bought this stuff from eagle one called never-dull... stuff works awesome.. i use it on my rims and exhaust... bought it from auto-zone

 

what about cleaning up/polishing an OEM muffler and tip? same products? lemme know. i am looking to clean up my OEM muffler that i havent used in a long while.thanks!

Same, that and a mirco fiber cloth.

 

exactly. mother's metal polish and microfiber go hand in hand
read the directions

 

i used that aircraft paint removel stuff.the exhaust had some bunch of nasty tar on it.i just spray that on and let it sit for 1hr.now it shineing fresh like new.

 

What about the meguiars power ball mini?
