Alright today I went to Costco to instal my tires on my rotas. They use a no touch mounter. Anyways 3 off the tires went on all nice, on my car, they look so bad ***. However the 4th wheel was not so good. Last night I put a coat of wax on all four of my wheels and this one had a diffrent texture to it, it was rough when all the other ones were nice and smooth. Anyways, when they went to put the tire on this one as soon as they put it on the machine, they noticed a little chip. They showed me this and asked if I wanted to put the tire on or not. It was so minor, I gave them the OK. Then when they applyed pressure to the tire, itt started to chip like crazy, all over the lip. The wheels were brand new.

I shipped the wheel back today. They said that they would replace it with a new one as soon as they get my old one.

 

maybe it happened during shipping? i'd call the place where you got them, and see if they would replace the wheel.

 

rota chips... my rotors were chipping too . the paint bubbles up.. dunno why... polish out the rims haha but urs chipping looks like from their machine ..... cuz mine wasnt like that. at all

I know it wasn't because of shipping because the night before I had them installed, I waxed all of them. (someone told me it makes it easier to get brake dust off) But anyways, that one was deffently missing something because it was not smooth at all plus the back plate (where the wheel hub meets the wheel) was dull when the other 3 were all bright and shiney. I call up rota, they told me to send in the wheel and they will give me a replacement. I cant wait. I have 3 wheels with brand new Pontenza's S03's Polepositions on them, waiting to be takeing out.
