will a jdm type r dc sports 2.5 inch header and 2.5 carsound cat bolt up to my apexi WS exhaust?
No. It wil not fix w/out modification. The flange on the WS catback is made to bolt up to the stock cat. For the WS to fit the 2.5 carsound, the flange must be modified for it to bolt up.
In addition, the WS catback is a 2.36" system which causes a bottle neck in your system. You would be better off getting a 2.5 catback to compliment the JDM header and 2.5'' cat for maximum flow.

how do you modify it?
i have an apexi ws and i was wonderin the same question...go to search and type in jdm4-1...there was another thread i had posted and this dude put a picture on it measuring the diameter of the inside of the jdm header and the apex ws exhaust...the apex's was bigger...i think the inside diameter of the jdm header was 2.125 or somethin like that...2.5 is the outside diameter...hope this helps...and if you get it pm me or make a thread sayin how you like it...cause i still dont got a header...im lookin...but i wanna hear from more ppl that got the type r header...peace

i was under the impression that a 2.36in cat back exhaust WILL bolt up to a 2.5in carsound cat. from a thread i saw the 3-bolt flange on the cat and the 3-bolt flange on the catback were the same size, it was only the piping that was a different size. of course doing this will create a bottleneck, but smsp sells a 2.5in->2.36 tappered flange that can be welded onto the catback. by doing that it will help reduce the bottleneck.
someone please correct me if im wrong, i would like to know also

if i read everything correctly it sounds like it will bolt up perfectly but there will be a large mismatch in the outlet of the cat and the inlet of the bpipe
