i just finished installing my turbo kit and now my radio is locked due to the battery being disconnected. i have no idea what the code on the unit is and it's the stock cd player head unit and it's a 2000 gsr. does anyone know if there is a fuse you can pull or any other way around the password to get it to unlock?

 

you have to call the dealership, give them your VIN, and they can give you the code.

 

call the dealer . . depending on the person they most likely will just give it to you . . just give them the serial number on the deck

 

so VIN or Serial #?

 

There was a sticker inside my arm rest that had the code for the radio but I have a 94LS. See if it's there otherwise bring the vin# of the radio to the dealership. I think it's on the side of the radio.

My code for my deck was under the fuse box cover in your engine next to the battery. I think yours should be thea too, check it.

If you don't find it in any of those places - mine was stuck to the bottom of the ashtray - just slide it out and check under there too.

 

Seems each new car dealer has their own 'favorite' place to write the code. I don't thing the factory does that...

 

when you open it up...can you tell me where the bolt is to hold the cd player...i just bought one and put it in the hole...it is very secure...but if i take off, like off the start sometimes it wedges out...thanks

 

Get the serial off the stereo and call the Parts dept at an Acura dealership, they will give it to you over the phone. I just had to do this last week.
