ITR warming up sounds
After your car has been setting overnight, or started cold, does it sound clattery, or (like it needs a valve adjustment) for a few seconds then smooths out?
I didn't notice this before although I could be mistaken.
Generally, do cold starts sound different to you?

because when it starts cold, the ITR usually have the idel rpm at 1600 to warm it up. So compare to the 800rpm idel that our car has after warm up it's quite loud.
Also...when it's cold, there may be more frictions in the engine, so there is always this sound that sounds like your AC is on. If after the engine is warm and the noise goes away, I wouldn't worry about it.

I suspect it's burning off the condensation, briefly running out of spec.
My noise seems to come from the distributor area.

My R does the exact same thing and it really sounds bad. I have only had mine for about two months and that **** really bothers me when I hear it. It makes me think the guy I bought it from stayed above 8K RPM constantly. One of the techs where I work (Dodge dealership) said it could just be the lack of oil circulation for those first few seconds.
Dude, we are so alike.
I grow grey hair over everything I hear, smell, or feel different in the ITR.
