Is it tough to put bumpers on a 1989 crx model? Has anybody ever done this before. I'm good under the hood, but never done any body work. I can't imagine it being too tough. Your opinions on the job/skill level would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Are you talking about a kit or a stock bumper?

 

It can be tough getting the bolts holding it on loose, I stripped a bunch. But after that, its easy.

 

the front bumper is really simple... unscrew the two bumper lights, take out the housing, I think the bolt is a 14mm... under the fender there should be 2 small screws holding it, unscrew those, pull it off... your done

haven't done the rear bumper, but I read you gotta take out the lights

 

takes me like 10 minutes to take or put on front bumper on a crx..theres 3 screws near the radiator...two screws each side where the bumper meats the fender..underneath the corner light on each side is one more screw that looks similar to the ones on radiator support....on the bottom of the bumper there is 2 10mm bolts...I rate this pretty easy to do..infact i took mine of yesterday in the rain...

 

isn't there 4 near the radiator? 2 on each side...

 

ona hatch i think theres 4 in the middle ar the radiator...im pretty sure my crx only had 3 near my rad..i could be wrong

i never take the bumper off like that. i remove the 2 10mm behind the blinker lights, the two screws in the fenders, and the couple 10mm under the bumper (for the splash shield thing), then pull...
