I am not an Accord kind of guy so this may be a questiion that has asked thousands of times but here goes. I have been working on a friends 93 Accord Ex w/auto. It is hard to start sometimes when cold and after starting it will light the CEL. First where is the ecu and how do I read the codes. I did a search but it did not reference this 4th gen accord. Any ideas what would cause an intramittent cold start problem.

 

look under the glove box in that right hand corner you will see a little blue prong that is what you need to short to get a CEL code. The ecu is in the pass. foot area, just pull down the carpet at the top and underneath you will see it.

 

Thanks for the quick concise answer. Are the code deffinitions the same for Accords and Civics.
