express car wash
I personally would not use the brust on my ride. Just the high pressure washes...the brush will definitely leave little scratches in the finish.
Dont EVER use the brush. Trust me on this. I wouldnt use anything but the high pressure rinse, and even with that, go over the car quickly and from a distance.
Do not use any of the chemicals at the car wash if you care about your car. Bring your own bucket, mit, soap, wheel cleaner, etc. Dont use any of them!

Dude I wouldn't really use the high pressure wash either. I had a scratch on my front bumber near the wheel well from a rock, and the high pressure wash went into the scratch and made a bubble in the clearcoat which eventually fell off. So about an inch of the clearcoat is missing now. Now I just use the low-pressure rinse and a bucket, mit, and my own chemicals.
I try not to use any automated car wash. For one, the brushes leave swirl marks and also these places use recycled water (leads to water spots) . When I didn't know any better I'd take my car to these places. But now I am the only one that washes my car.
I've found the best method is to use a good cotton mitt, and the 2 bucket method to wash my car. The first bucket contains the car wash, while you use the other one to rinse out the dirt. Second, when you rinse your car off, take off the nozzle to promote sheeting action. Lastly, use a good microfiber towel to dry off you vehicle.
