I have a 88crxDX, previous owner did a bad job with his ecu plugs. all chopped up with obd1 plugs. So i got a 1990 civic DX dash harness. what engine harness do i use. switching to multi-point can i get a 90-91 civic/crx si engine harness? Or do i have to use a dx harness.

Also my concern is that crx have electronic climate controls, and civic don't. what do i do?

 

i think you need to get an 88 crx under dash harness. i know superhatch had some problems using a differen year harness than the year of his car. also like you mentioned, the civic climate controls will be different than the crx controls.

plus i think there are some wiring changes from year to year... 88, 89 and 90-91 are the different wiring years (from what i have read).

 

suppose i get the the dash harness to work.
can i get a mpfi engine harness. or i have to get a dx and modify it.

 

i tried to use an Si harness in my GF's STD for an MPFI conversion, but the driver's side plugs are different. i ended up re-wiring her STD harness for MPFI.
