Dave,

1) don't spam if you want real customers.
2) know what you are selling and don't just sell anything, ESPECIALLY to NSX/S2000 owners.
3) understand clutch components and what you are selling a bit more intimately
-- there is NO lightweight clutch option. its a pressure plate.

I've been working with Dave at Spec for over two years now and am very famililar with their S2000 applications and what is right for customers. So please please, don't sell just any clutch to individuals. A clutch is not a cold air intake - its much more personal than that, and if you go with the wrong one in these cars, you can do more damage to the drivetrain than you can imagine.

p.s. - my every day prices are comparable to your group buy prices.

Schatten,

1) It only looks like spam because this board's categories are set up so poorly. I specialize in MR-2's, and their board is set up much better and the members are much more appreciative. There should be a Group Buy section where I could have done all applications in one post.
2) You're right, I just started selling clutches, but had there been an inquiry, I would have verified that everything was compatible with SPEC before the order was placed.
3) I was using SPEC's exact words "Remove rotating mass with our lightweight clutch option for $79.! " I don't see the point in this, nor does it make sense to me, but I am just offering SPEC's options. If it is for "increased reliability and horsepower", why dont they just come that way?

I appreciate your criticism, which was somewhat constructive. And I'm sure your prices are comparable because I just started and cannot afford a buy in.

I did however read through the TOS on the main page, which said nothign against group buys. Was I banned because i posted so many in one day or what?

Well anyway, I was just trying to help make another group buy on another board because i moved the deadline forward so that my customers wouldnt have to wait, and thought id be helping you guys out as well.

Any guess on how long it takes them to ban this name as well?

My apologies.

Dave

Dave - Spam or not, well your only posts were the same thing in various forums without any type of introduction.

Not sure how long it will take to get you banned, nor I for that matter. I've inquired SEVERAL TIMES to the admins of these boards to ask what it takes to be an approved vendor. But again and again, no response.

Comptable - they'll all work, but how they will work with their intended purposes (drag/street/road course/etc.) will vary on the driver. So just make sure you don't go all ***** out on a clutch and then teh customer will call you back within a few days of installing it with a destroyed drivetrain.

i hate you too -
#1 - nope, but a Spoon head gasket will bump up the compression.
#2 - I have one left in stock that I need to move. If you want it, drop me an email and tell me where I would be shipping it to. I don't want to post prices against those that are the approved vendors.

Thanks!

hey,
thanks a lot, i appreciate that post. it was the exact opposite of what i would expect from someone with the board name "i hate you too". lol

the only other forum i saw was "classifieds" and i dont consider it a classified.

whatever. all i know is i spent a couple hours organizing this last night for 6 different forums, got a head ache, and didnt study for my mid term because of it, and then i get banned.

thanks again.

ps - s2k child is ur board name or i hate you too?

Here are the rules for businesses postings.
I also agree with you that no one from this forum checks the group buy section. But it's their forum and they want to run it this way so it's up to them. I would try posting the NSX info at http://www.nsxprime.com. Your prices though are not much better than the regular dealers on prime.

IMO, i think that anything for sale concerning S2K's and NSX's actually should be in this forum..... how often do things for S2K/NSX get sold in the group buys section? almost never, that is the reason why S2K/NSX owners never go there......
Then Maybe you Should Check it out Every month I post my Specials and every month I Always have parts for the S2000 and Sometimes NSX on Special.

For Example Spoon S2K Flywheels for $375.
