Anyone have experience w/ Wilwood calipers?
I have a bunch of minor questions...
First, list which caliper you have (type/size/etc), the car you are using, rotor size you are using (diameter and width), and what type of braking these see (anyone mostly a daily driver w/ them?)
1) Do wilwood calipers use bleeder screws with the same thread as stock bleeder screws? (Well then leads to: Can I use speedbleeders on them?)
2) anyone use them for mostly daily driving? How often should they be rebuilt since most threads in the archives say the lack of dust boots = more frequent rebuilds.
2.1) do any of their applications have dust boots seals? or can they be installed?
3) which types of pads are you using, approx price of them, and how long are they lasting (and what type of braking do these pads see)? Are there any good street/daily driving only pads w/ these?
4) Do these work w/ stock ABS? Any issues/concerns?
5) Do they use the stock brake lines?
6) Did you need mounting brackets for your application?
and lastly, is anyone familar w/ all the types of calipers wilwood has? There are so many and Im not sure which to get for a street only application.
-----------
btw, i am looking to slap a pair onto a 5th gen accord... see they have brackets for cars like integras, and ITR's. Since most honda brackets are interchangeable on diff knuckles, I believe they should work, only concern is working out the rotor size/offset and clearance, but I would like more info on making this practical for street/daily driving.
Reason for doing this, legend calipers + core + bracket costs about the same price as getting wilwoods for $100/caliper (maybe a bit more for misc stuff)... i figure i might as well get the lighter wilwood ones than heavy *** legend ones.
