Which are the best Coilovers to buy for a 1992 Honda Civic Si hatch
I'm looking to buy some coilovers for my Hatchback Si and I was wondering if any body have some good luck with some. I'm not looking to spend much more then $300 for then so if someone could help me out by directing me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
i vote for ground control coilovers, and either tokicos or konis....just my opinion though.....hope it helps you....
Cant really go wrong with a set of Ground Controls. Only warning though, if you are getting coilovers (sleeves) to dump the car alot, be prepared for your stock shocks to blowout on you.
Just buy the Tein Basic setup...you can't go wrong with Tein and you don't have to worry about that **** breaking
i'd go with ground control and either tokicos or konis. the skunk2 coilovers are good, but i like the ground control better

I've looked around a little bit and I think i'm going to go with Skunk. I have a friend that has a 89 Hatch and he just put them on and it looks nice and rides smooth, and they are somewhat cheaper then ground control.
I've got GroundControlz on ma civic. The ride is bouncy as hell RIGHT NOW, but that should get better as soon as i get my shocks in. BUT WHICH ONEZ TO BUY? Tokico OR Koni ?
I dunno about the "cheapest" but http://www.tornactive.com Is good people.
get some ground controls and koni yellows, with custom spring rates....it'll do you great. http://www.importhorizon.com sells the konis at a good price.

Tein is coming out with a Basic setup....where the strut is not adjustable (Ala WS Dampers from Apex'i). Talk to vtecvoodoo on this board. He is a long standing member and hs good prices on them. Not anywhere close to your 300 limit but not breaking the bank either.
I would say invest in some good shocks like Koni adjustables and get a fairly inexpensive set of coilovers.
Done this before with KYB AGXs @ http://www.coximport.com for $340 shipped and Onsoku coilover conversion kit @ http://www.spoilerdirect.com for $125+shipping, around $480-$500 total cost. The ride was great, it felt like i was driving a Gocart.
That's my two cents.
