I just scored an s2000 steering wheel for a really good price, but I am not even sure if I can do anything with it. I have a 2000 accord and I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of, or tried to put an s2k steering wheel into the 6 gen accord. Let me know, any tips would be helpful.

 

keep your accord wheel, sell the s2k wheel, make a profit and call it a day.

I am sure you can put it on,but he srs lights, airbag,horn buttom, cruise control, radio control is another problem.
like my title said.."i my airbag"

 

just keep your OEM wheel...
accord steering wheel is actually nicely sized for comfort driving..
and very good for size of 6th gen accord..
unless you are REALLY willing to make your 6th accord into track car..(which it is NOT gonna happen...) just keep your steering wheel and sell the s2000 steering wheel...

 

Or if you want a better feeling wheel, try to trade for Cl./Tl type s or an Mdx wheels. Those'll work.

 

I personlly love how easy it was to swap a Type-S wheel into my car but....

You should be able to do this mod provided the splinze match up.
You will also need the airbag, plastic cover for behind the wheel, and any other trim panels. You may need to swap out you SRS connectors for the JDM S2k units if they differ. Assuming the splinze are the same you could swap any wheel in you wanted--it just requires money. If you got the airbag with the wheel I'd go for other wise. Swap an Acura model Leather wheel for much cheaper and reuse your airbag.

 

One of the guys in the Toronto Accord Club already swapped an S2K wheel onto his 6th gen coupe. It looks sweet.

I personally will take a MoMo or sparco wheels.

 

it is possible to do if u really want to do it. I've seen it done already. but u just have to doe some modifcations on the plugs so the airbag and the horn works.

 

i have it on my 5th gen accord and looks cleaner den those momo wheels das fosho.
here goes

94-95 clips dont plug up and horn does not work
96-97 everything plugs up except for cruise control i have it done on my accord and is alott smaller den the stock one and is sporty had mines for 1 yr already no complaints everyone who sees it jocks it even the guys with momo steering wheel wants to trade over to s2g steering wheel. but for 6gen i duno what the center spline size bolt is but if anyone can tell me then i could help

 

I wouldn't mess with the steering wheel and the airbag after the accident I had the other day.
