My friend has AVS ES100's and he seems to love them alot. I don't know what the specs are for the Parada's, but from what I hear about ES100's, they seem to be kick-*** tires if you ask me...You might want to try checking and comparing the two tires and see which one is better.. http://www.tirerack.com has specs and stuff like that...Good Luck with your decision..I hope you make the right one.

Parada is a show tire, Yokohama developed the tread to look "hip," while making the tires last a long time. Take that into consideration when you're choosing. I'd go AVS.

AVS ES100 here... they are wonderful. Mine are 205/45/16. They grip like animals. I have an auto-x and a driving school for auto-x a week from now. Email if you want to know how they do.

bringing the thread back... so the avs es100s would be the best on a superchagered (b16a) crx compared to the parada. i think i can get the 205/45/16 in avs es100 or the parada in 205/40/16... thanks

Yea the tire selection in 16"is very minimal and I have heard nothing bad about the ES100's though.

how is the tread wear on the avs es100's? i hear they are comparable to the kumho 712's, but better in every aspect (dry and wet grip), but what about tread wear? do they still have good treadwear like the 712's, or do they suck at wear like azenis?

If you beat on em all the time theyre not gonna respond well. I dont race much and mine are fine, then again they are a Z rated compound so, if you dont beat on em they'll last. As for dry/wet handling,

i got my es100 installed 2 weeks ago, I LOVE THEM! Excellent with the noise and comfort ride. Handling is great also, but my previous tires for nittos 450, any other tires are better than those....

i had to decide between the two myself... and i picked the parada's... they're a great tire..

but i'm sure the AVS are as well..

so you really can't go wrong between the two.. just pick randomly

AVS ES100 or Falken Azenis?

Ben

Do you autocross or road race? Would only getting 8K on a set of tires hurt your pocket book?
Azenis are the best street tire on the market in term of handling, period. However, they come in limited sizes, wear very quickly, and aren't the best rain tire. For everyday driving and mild autocrossing and road racing, I'd go with the AVS 100 just because they will wear better. If you are serious autocrosser or road racer and don't need that extra mileage on the tires, go azenis. I don't have either but I have friends that have both.

Nope. Yokohama themselves said it. It's even marketed as a show tire in JDM land. Looks good and lasts long--look at the treadwear rating. Sure it might feel better than stock tires, there's not much that isn't.
