its going to be for my friend's itr, we were just wandering which one most itr drivers preferred and give reasons why? ie, more power, higher top end, etc. thanks

There's no point in comparing those headers, they're almost the same thing. I say DC just because it's lighter.

check the great header test, going by that they seem to be the same but the dc appears to be a little more choppy through the power band, jdm one seemed to be a little smoother.

performance-wise they have been shown to be quite similar.

jdm dc pros (vs jdm oem): lighter, cheaper, not rust colored

jdm dc cons (vs jdm oem): more prone to defects and cracking (dc sports ), no heat shields available (for stock look to hide what ya brung), less durable, dents easier (not much ground clearance down there)

 

The dc header is from the same design as the jdm itr one. The big difference between them is the price. You can get a jdm dc header for $295 or a jdm itr one that costs $375. Take into consideration that you can use factory headshields with the oem header.

In the Great Header Test, the jdm dc header made 2 peak whp more than the jdm itr. http://bob123e.tripod.com/thegreatheadertest/

see...dc bumpy..not good methinks, jdm alot smoother, both torque and hp...

exhaust and intake i believe as well as a modified cat for the JDM header fitment.

The JDM ITR has slightly better ground clearance but not by much. They both hange pretty low.

 

I have the JDM DC in SS. I'm very pleased with it.
Now, comparing with the JDM stock, don't you have to smooth the inner weldings by the flange in order to perform better? I didn't have to touch my DC. I came as smooth as a baby butt chick.

 

I dont think You can Even Put the two in the same Class, Look at the Size of the Primarys!

The JDM ITR = Stock Header

DC JDM ITR = Aftermarket Header

Though the JDM ITR is a nice header if you want to Keep A stock Apperance!

But I Will bet My life the DC will out perform the JDM ITR on a Modified Engine!
