Side airbag light
My girlfriend told me that her side airbag light is coming on at random times in her '02 accord coupe. Anybody here had a similar experience? Suggestions? I did a search and didn't really find what I was looking for.
I had the same problem once. I looked in the manual and it said something about passenger seat being too low or something like that. So I made the passenger seat higher. Basically I was playing around with the passenger seat (moving it back and forth, up and down) until the sideairbag stuff went out.
Hey bro,
Give the dealer a call first and tell them the situation , they might ask you to take in the car to the dealer. Since it's a 02 it will be under warrenty.

it's normal, checked and rechecked at dealer.

First ... make sure you do NOT have anything on the seat ... like a cell phone or a laptop. This will make that happen. If you are sure that you do NOT have any of these on there when that happens ... then by all means ... go to the dealer and have him check it out. There is a sensor in the left side of the left seat that will cause a problem like you are mentioning. The dealer can figure that out by checking for codes which should be stored in the computer.
Thanks for all your help, guys. What's weird is that I was riding in her car yesterday, and the light never came on. Apparently it only happens when there is no passenger. Oh well....dealership time, I guess.
