you should take pictures of it with the usual backdrop.

 

i really wish i could take better pics of it, the majority of the colors such as the rotor centers, dash etc were all hand mixed and matched to photos off the internet and tv... i have to still install the wipers, and make antennae's out of solder, the ones that came with the kit look fake...

btw ive been building car models since i was 7 years old, model contests used to be big in my area and i always took first in my age group...

Did you have to paint the body?

 

yes its 2 coats of testors candy blue, wet sanded and poilished out, then i finished out the door moldings and trim in testors black chrome paint...

Cool looks really good. I put together their Mobile1 nsx it came out pretty well. I didn't pain the body i just left the bare plastic white. I really want to do more models but i'm scared i'm going to messup when it comes to painting the body. Did you use the spray can or did you use an air brush? I think i'm going to do the Porsche gt3 and WRX next.

 

i used a spray can on this one, but i have airbrushed some before... the trick is to wash the body good with soap and water then lightly wetsand it.. let it dry rinse it off again to remove residue, when applying the paint though, its a bit tricky you want to apply it wet and thick enough to keep it glossy but not to make it run at the same time, if it does run though, dont try to correct it, let it dry throroughly and wet sand the run out carefully and start over... i let this one dry for 3 days before wetsanding it, lightly wetsand then use a good car wax or light compound to bring out the shine.. but be careful its easy to loose details in the body or sand through the paint..

well its life was short lived... one of our shitty cleaning people knocked the case int the floor last night broke the model, threw away the pieces they broke off, then kindly put it back on my desk to make it look like nothing happened.. of course i noticed it time i walked in... arrrrrgh this is one of the worst days i have had in a while

i found all the pieces in yesterdays trash from the office in the dumpster... so i know who did it.

That would take me 30+ hours to do that, especially if I have to add the decals (I'm a perfectionist)

 

i too am a perfectionist and i did it in 25
