Default tranny return line slipped off...major damage?

I was on the freeway and my return line from the bottom of the radiator came off and pumped all the fluid onto my exhaust manifold. I drove it for a 1/4 mile like that, stopped on the side of road and got some ATF from Kragen. It seems fine but could there be any damage to be revealed later? How much is the capacity ( i was told 6.5 pints)

the capacity is 2.5 qt. when changing.

but if it dumped it all out it takes 6.3 qt.

you should be ok as long as you didnt hear any pinging or metal to metal noises.

it may be a good idea to have it flushed anyway.
