Topping up clutch fluid?

Topping up clutch fluid?
I think I'm low on clutch fluid.... can't see any through the side of the resivour, and when i took the lid off there wasn't too much in there.
Just wondering if I do top it up if it's possible to have too much?
Not the best pic, but only one I have that's kinda close to it.
Ohhh and my engine bay isn't really that dirty..... who ever owned the car before me had it rust proofed
