Don't try cuz it doesn't work!!!!
Tonight i took out one of my headlights and was going to black house it. When i got the damn thing finally apart, i found out that there isn't any housing to paint black therefore i wasted about 3 hours doing everything and being careful. I thought i was going to be a pioneer but i guess not, so don't try cuz your wasting your time, just don't make the same mistake i did. Later
which car was this on? because i had an idea for my CRX headlights, but never thought about there not being any housings to even paint
I thought it was obvious that there was no housing to paint, first civics with headlight housings are the ej/ek. did you consider using a transparent paint to give the headlights a gunmetal finish? I guess its worth a try if you dont mind possibly ruining your headlights.
or how about buying projectors, baking and seperating them, and taking the housing to a body shop to get painted to match your body color.

you should just leave you stock headlights alone. do they not work well or what?
Don't black out your headlights. You will not be able to see anything when its dark. I bout my hatch and the previous owner thought it would be a great idea. Here is a pic:
crx and civic hatch lights should be the same just different for 88-89 and 90-91
correct me if i'm wrong...?

correct... sort of... i believe 88-91 civic/crx headlights are all the same. the only difference between the 88-89 and 90-91 headlights are the brackets that hold the headlights.
