Default Installing my Skunk 2 stage 2 tomorrow w/ built head.

Finally I went through with it! Getting Skunk 2 stage 2 cams, valve spring and retainers, cam gears, ported n' polish head, milled , etc .....I'm paying the guy $2000 to do all this for me. You think that's a good deal guys. What kinda power will I be getting if I tuned it with just a FPR. I know I need exhaust, headers, vafc, and p28ecu w/ skunk 2 program. If you guys have any of the stuff listed that I need lemme know.

Why not wait to make the purchase like this until you have the rest of the parts to take full advantage of it? Do you really need a ported/polished/milled head? Many people are making good power with aftermarket cams on the stock head.

i second that, i would much rather increase my compression with pistons, rather than milling the head. you can never unmill, but you can always change your pistons back to stock. also reliability must be a factor

As my predecessors said, DON'T MILL YOUR HEAD. Not only do you have to adjust your timing (it will be off every single time from there on out), but you can't go back. Just get higher compression pistons like I did. Bump the compression one and it will not only make your car faster but it adds a certain amount of drive-ability.

Also, what's the point in making the head take in more air if you're not giving it more air? Same with the exhaust side.. why let it push out more exhaust, but not supply it with an exhaust to get out of there? Don't expect big gains untill you get intake/header/exhaust/pistons/whatever else.

You're starting at the end and walking backwards...
