individual throtle body's good or bad?
I was thinking about doing individual throtle body's. partly because I would like to make the engine bay look cleaner and get rid of some of the vacume lines and stuff on the fire wall. and partley bacause I herd they add alot more power to your car. but I haven't had any experience with them and haven't herd much about them. so I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about them the good the bad and what you would do. ow it is going on a b16 motor in a 92 hatch back cx if that is any help! thanks
ITB's to clean up vacume lines? that is the last thing you want to worry about when chosing ITB's lol.
ITB's aren't for just anybody, the ITB's alone burn a whole in one pocket, and the tuning involved needed to get it running right... especially on the street, is a hole in the other pocket.

itb's=good for highly modified engines...i doubt they would make much on basically a stock b16....itbs=bad for gas mileage

You'll have double the vacuum lines with ITBs. Not to mention check valves out the yinyang.
thanks! that is what I needed to hear do you know anywhere where I can read about them.

i have a question about individual throttle bodies, if u have them dont u risk having bad things being sucked into your motor since u are no longer running an airfilter, or is there like sum kind of screen on each one that prevents that?
They make individual filters and filters that will cover all four.
They also make induction boxes that you can hook a tube to and run to wherever you want and stick a filter on the end.

when done right they are amazing. my friend evilxkid has a b16 with a built head in his hatch, he threw some TWM's on there and it screams, just yesterday he started putting the b20 block back in, B20/vtec w/ ITB's and stage 3 cams in a 1900lb hatchback, daily driven! His best time was 13.5 before the ITB's and B20, easily into the mid/high 12's.
where can I fiend them? is there anywhere I can read about them get more info. like install, cost, where when how that kiend of thing.
ow and to they guy at the top my motor isn't stock but you are right it doesn't have anuff done to it to need ITB's but I just whant to know more about them and plan for the future. thanks!!

if u dont know all that much about them then how come u know that they give u a lot of hp??? it doesnt make much sense to me. u still have to have all of the wires and **** even if it is a special tb. the do the same thing as normal ones. why dont u get a tb from a type r or get urs bored out and polish it if u want it to look better.

ITB---not for street use unless your runing a fully built motor.
Many cars come stock with individual throttle bodies. There's nothing 'unstreetable' about them... you just have to use a kit with properly sized throttle bodies.
I have talked to some people that race semie pro and they explaned it to me. it would take a 4 pages to write it all down. but I don't know much about them in the fact of how they work and how to install them. as well as it they are good for street use or not and wat the problems are with them. it isn't just the hp and the look that apeals to me it is also the increase in throtle response and the fact that I don't know much about them and I'm curious to lern more! now saying Im going to buy them or that they are good for me I just whant to know more!
