The day starts off with me leaving the house at 10 am for work at delta sonic.. I'm in a really good mood from the the second I sit in my car (the s2000 is back on the road as of 3/14/02).. by 10 it was 45 degrees and nice and sunny.. I dropped the top for the highway commute to work.. I REALLY enjoyed the cruise..

I arrive at delta sonic.. I get screwed with all the shitty jobs, like power wash and bay watch.. I finally get out front to dry off some cars.. its 6:30 pm, dark, and about 10 degrees. I made a good $60 or so before I left @ 7:30.. the work day kinda disrupted my happy mood a little bit.. but as soon as I got in the car I was happy again.. although not as happy as in the morning when the top was down... the cruise home was alright...

I arrive home.. take a shower and come back down to my room... as I'm changing I notice a black envelope on a 3x12" subwoofer box.. "nice, I got something I ordered.. wonder what it is.." (im always ordering useless stuff off ebay).. I open the envelope and pull out 2 documents.. a brochure and a white paper folded in thirds... I open the open the brochure.. its all about the gumball 3000.. "ohh cool, atleast I got something to keep for atleast applying".. I toss it aside (I'm on the way out the door w/ a friend for dinner).. I open the white paper.. stamped on top was the official Gumball stamp.. I read the first line:

Dear Gumballer

>>oh my god (insert pissed pants), and look, he called me a baller, w00t..

etc etc.. "As you are aware, this years 'Gumball 3000' rally is coming up next month, and I'd like to offer you the opportunity to take part"...

>>my legs are shaking at this point.. this made my day, week, year etc..

the letter goes on explaining what the g-ball is about and finishes up with: "It will be 7 days of your life that you will never forget. I look forward to hearing from you soon and meeting in San Francisco. Ladies, gentlemen, let the Gumball begin.....

hell that was 2 hours ago and my arms are still shaking.. i still can't believe it.. I just have to complete a form on their webside and i "will have concluded a binding agreement with us (them) to participate in the 2003 Gumball3000 rally."

But first I need to find a contributing passenger.. $12,000 pays for 2 people.. for a trip from San Fran, to Miami, it includes 5 star hotels, breakfast, lunch, dinner, parties, and "many other unique things en route!"

so if anyone is interested.. let me know...

Hope you have some money saved. On the other hand I'd take out a loan myself just to pay for th opportunity..............
