okay i had bought a b16 with the tranny and ecu(p28) but i just sold it today after some rethinking...
here's why.... i was gonna spend;
350$ on motor mounts
200$ axles
250-300$ for ecu
200-300$ clutch kit
and anything else that i may need(???)
plus the 800$ that i paid for the motor and tranny...

paying the highest it would had been over 1000$ plus the 800$(motor)
that's 1800$ that i can put on my ZC and built the bottom...

here's the setup... or
849$ for SRP pistons/Eagle rods/8.5:1 comp. (importperformanceparts.com)
225$ for clutch kit centerforce stage 2. (nopi.com)
set of cam gears Skunk2 (for b16) 185$ (wheelsplus.com)
still looking for camshafts...(anyone?)
and whatever other lil' stuff...(i already got the ZEX nitrous kit)

i gotta pay for the installation of the pistons/rods 200$ to a good friend of mine, everything else i can install...

so is this a good idea or is he ZC not worthy. the guy's dropping the money next tuesday... 850$

A ZC fully built can't compare to a B16 built but i guess money is always an issue, good luck with it.

 

it seems that you are going the NA route with the ZC. if so, why 8.5:1 compression pistons?

 

i see your point but if done right this motor should move quickly. and that's the money to just drop the motor in, then i gotta think of getting build...
we'll see what happens!

 

no not going NA there's no point to it really. going with the zex kit first then turbo.
i'm flying to PR in mid june for my sisters sweet 15(PR tradition not 16) and i'm meeting with my father's good friend who is a turbo specialist.

he's the best for turbos and hopefuly he'll get me a great deal... I probably fly him back here and go from there...

forget about the zc-too many issues with reliabilty especially if you go turbo.
