Well, my luck... my 99 gsr was hit by a snowplow while parked in front of my house the other night and the idiot took off. I cant really afford $1500+ extra a year for collision coverage, so my insurance company wont cover it. I need a whole new front bumper/right fender. The color is flamenco black pearl.





If anybody has a 98+ integra front bumper/front right fender in Flamenco Black Pearl, or even another color, please email me at gi2indking@aol.com
This really sucks... so hopefully some of my integra brothers can help me out here. Thanks in advance...

nope... no note or anything. I contacted the town but i dont think they are really going to care. Everyone i seem to talk to said that the town denies everything...

 

the town/city/county will have record of who was plowing the roads, since they need to get paid.

If not, this should be covered under your comprehensive insurance and will not affect your rates at all since it was a hit and run.

Call the police, file a report, have them come out and ask them to investigate because you would like to press charges for a hit-and-run.

 

damn that sucks. keep going after the city or more so the actual company that drives the plow, they should cover it

Nope, the insurance appraiser came to my house and determined that "since it was hit by a moving object", it is not covered under my comprehensive and therefore, im screwed.. lol. I filed a police report and contacted the town asking them to investigate the situation. Im just waiting to hear back from them.

 

hit by a moving object?? well what the hell is covered under comprehensive then? Maybe if a boulder runs over and hits the car?

Don't give up pursuing the city or whoever is responsible. Keep after them about it. You can win this one. The plow would possibly have paint from your car on it still.

 

just get a hold of the city, and tell them the date it was hit and they can find out who was driving the plow that day, make them pay for it man, dont let them get away with it. FIGHT dude!

I don't know what insurance you have but thats BS. Please let us know what company you have so we don't get them as a insurer too. If the damage is done while you are away from the car and out of your control, it should be covered under comprehensive. If you were sitting in the car sleeping and the car is parked and you get hit, thats collision.

I hope you win this too, I really think YOU do not even need to go after the city. All YOU need to do really is tell your insurance and get a police report, I do not feel you are fawked or anything... really its like your car was vadalized so it should be treated as so. Report to police and insurance, if your policy is 2 way than its covered. I'm not a lawyer or anything thats what I think out of common sense. Why should YOU have to go after the city, isn't that what you pay your insurance company to do? The "city" is no different than any other driver on the road, they have insurance as well to pay for this.

 

Hopefully the city will pay up for it but just to let you know there was a guy selling front fenders IN the same color a few weeks ago in the classifieds.. I almost bought the pass side from him.. Do a Search.. He was asking 100 bucks for the front fender

Yes you will be screwed if you believe this!! Check your insurance, maybe you don't have comprehensive coverage. I can't see how something like this won't be covered.

 

He already said he didnt have comprehensive.

You are screwed. When my 1st teg got stolen, I was screwed.

This is a tough lesson you are going to have to learn. If you cant afford the insurance, don't get the car.

I know in Ohio if you have a loan on the car, you MUST cover comp coverage, it's the law.

he has comprehensive but not collision insurance. His car was hit by another moving vechicle so it falls under "collision", not comprehensive. Comprehensive is like when someone steals your car, keys it, vandalizes it, etc.,

 

actually collision is when he hits someone else and it's his fault. comprehensive is for vandalism, hit and runs, theft, weather damage, hitting a deer, etc... This should be covered by your comprehensive if you actually have that type of coverage.
