Default H22a Accord P/S

I have a JDM h22 in my 95 Accord EX. I have not had power steering hooked up for about a year now. Instead of splicing the prelude p/s line into the accord p/s line, is there another p/s pump that would bolt right up and allow me to use the accords p/s line. I think I read this somewhere before but I do not remeber what car it came from. Thanks!

good luck getting that lines spliced together, i went to a few places, 5, and they looked at me like i was crazy when i asked about it and showed them the lines etc

supposedly the 5th gen lude PS bracket allows the Accord line to reach the pump

Will the 5th gen p/s bracket work on a 94', 4th gen motor?? And with the power steering bracket, what year accord pump would bolt up? Would I use the one for my cars year or a different one.

I know a place that makes custom lines. They made one for me and all I used was the fitting from the Prelude line. The Custom steel braided line cost me $60 bucks.
So Now I have a perfect custom line to the H22 Power Steering pump.

the thing is the bracket is about $80, so for a little more you have confidence that the line won't come apart.

bill2k-my set-up is a 93 jdm h22 with 95 p/s pump/line with the 97+ bracket, so if you have a 94 it should work.

So you have 95 Honda accord, because that is what I have. Would you happen to have any pictures of your setup so I can see what it looks like? Has this setup been tried on anyone elses car, and does it work well, meaning all the bolts line up. Thanks!

From what I have heard (so I dont know if it true) you can get NAPA to custom make a line in what ever size shape you need.

Get a 97 and up prelude powerstering bracket.
Bolt it up to the motor, bolt the accord powerstering
pump to that bracket. There your done
It only took me ten minutes to do. You will probably
need a new PS belt and thats it.

Don't wast your time with custom lines, and splicing
hoses togeter. It's a ridiculous wast of time.

Does anyone know if it is supposed to be a USDM p/s bracket or a JDM p/s bracket. I purchase a 98 JDM p/s bracket and it was the same one as my 94 p/s bracket (didnt know it was at the time of purchase). Also, which year accord p/s pump would I use. Thanks for any info.

I just got a us spec on. I think it was
99 or 2000. Did you try bolting it up.
the differnce is which side the braket
the pump mounts to. The 92-96 braket bolts
on the left side and the us spec bolts to the
right side.

So for the record, it's a 97+ USDM prelude PS bracket that will work with the stock Accord PS pump... Correct?

Yup did this on my 5th gen and it works like a charm. Had to shim it a little to keep it from squealing. Its easy as pie!

Good info !! Thanks

BTW, the prelude alternator and Accord alternator looked identical to me. Is there any reason why the prelude one wouldn't work?
